About Tafi Card Authenticator
Remote tachograph downloads cannot happen without the company card. Tafi Card Authenticator keeps the card in a reader on one office PC reachable by the download service, so vehicle and driver-card downloads authenticate on their own — no one has to carry the card to a vehicle or sit at the machine.
Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen when you run the installer — click More info then Run anyway. It installs for the current user only, so it needs no administrator rights, and it starts automatically with Windows afterwards. Leave it running: the card is only reachable while it is.
